1. St. Anne’s Belfield (VA) 0-0 St. Anne’s won the Virginia Independent Schools State (VISAA) championships last year and will returns as a favorite.
2. Collegiate School (VA) 0-0: The Cougars went undefeated last year before losing in the VISAA semifinals. They will contend again for the crown.
3. Lambert (GA) 2-0: The Longhorns toppled Blessed Trinity 11-5, on Saturday behind Eric Overbay (Villanova commit, 3G, 1A), Conrad McEvoy (2G, 2A), Matt O’Rourk (Air Force, 2G, 2A), Johnny DiVirgilio (2G), and Trey Arnold (Robert Morris, 18 of 19 FO. They host Peachtree Ridge tonight in an 8:00 game.
4. Highland Park (TX) 0-0: The defending state champion Scots open Saturday against Keller.
5. McCallie School (TN) 0-0: The Blue Tornados won the Tennessee state championship last year and boast at least seven Division 1 commits.
6. Paul VI (VA) 0-0: The Panthers again play one of the toughest schedules with Gilman, Georgetown Prep, Landon and Gonzaga (in the DC WCAC), which should again prepare them well for the VISAA tourney.
7. St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes (VA) 0-0: The Saints went 15-5 and reached the semifinals of the DC IAC Championships last year. They will continue to be a force.
8. St. Thomas Aquinas (FL) 4-0: The Raiders won a tough match 13-12 against Lake Highland Prep to remain undefeated.
9. Ponte Vedra (FL) 8-0: The Sharks host 6-0 Gulliver Prep on Friday.
10. St. Christopher’s (VA) 0-0:The Hornets reached the VISAA semifinals last year, falling to eventual champion St. Anne’s Belfield. They will be a major contender again this year.
